My main collection of Pictures is titled “Upstairs Front Seat” because I saw a joke graph which showed how getting the front seat upstairs on the bus gives maximum happiness regardless of what age you are.

I really liked that and started fighting for the front seat and then taking silly selfies as an Insta kind of thing (including me scowling at front seat squatters gawping obliviously at their phones instead of the amazing vistas through the window).

But one piddling rainy night I was on my way into town and as we came past the Garda Station in Rathmines, I had a scene in front of me that blew me away -the above picture - and, well, that was the moment. I began taking pictures every time I get the front seat upstairs.

The style I’m going for is surreal, dreamlike, but also sumptuous and dramatic. I only use my phone camera, and then as small an amount of tweaking as possible in the photo editor - contrast, temperature, cropping but nothing too disruptive because that would defeat the whole point of the spontaneity and the reaction i had which most people have had - namely “ I can’t believe that’s a photo, it looks like a painting”. So minimal interference or techie nonsense.

I work with a very classy printer in Germany as well as a very talented canvas maker in Cork. They process my orders, maintain Gallery quality printing and deliver quite quickly.

I can honestly say I have spent long evenings getting wonderfully lost in these Pictures, and it will be my privilege and buzz if you find you’re getting absorbed in them too.

Please browse the Home Page, then click into the shop and nab a Pic because i believe you will really feel it’s money well spent.
