THE STORY

This Upstairs, Front Seat picture is not everyone’s cup of rosie (hohum)-but I love it.

I mean, i know it looks like a mess and doesn’t conform to the orthodox composition rules, but it’s just so bloody beautiful, and mad looking, and chaotic and it seems impossible - none of the light blurs go in the same direction - mushroom heads ( or ghosts) here - sideways wormhole cones there…

It’s like a hyperlapse pic of a rave or a carnival, but with a traffic barrier.

But mostly, what i am mad about in this picture are the deep and rich colours, and the ‘cloudy’ textures. I know it’s probably from digital compression or some phone camera Ai gewgaw, but even that’s part of the punk, lo-fi, shoot-and-hope approach I’m pushing for.

The Rosie Hackett Bridge is relatively new so i like making my own contribution to the tradition building up around it and her.
